Who we are

ZaoSeq Technologies Co., Ltd. (造序科技有限公司, Taiwan tax ID 61925562) collects and uses personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act of Taiwan. Contact: [email protected].

Inquiry and trial interest forms (company site and Compute)

Inquiry forms collect your name, email, organization, the department you choose and your message. The research credit interest form also collects applicant type, a project summary and any lab contact you add. We use this to assess your inquiry and reply.

Submissions are delivered by an email delivery service to the department you chose. Please do not send passwords, medical records or confidential datasets through these forms.

LINE and email inquiries (software development site)

The software development site has no form. Choosing LINE or email opens that service; the messages you send, your LINE display name and your email address are used to discuss your project and reply. LINE processes data under its own policy.

ZaoSeq Bopomofo demo (Labs)

No account is needed. Only when you press “Get candidates” are the confirmed text and current Zhuyin sent to our inference service; they are used for that request only, are not stored and are not used for model training. With the local service option, the browser connects only to your own device.

ZaoSeq Compute accounts and payments

We collect account details (name, email, a salted password hash, email verification status, two-factor settings and sign-in records), billing details (invoice type, carrier or donation code, buyer name, tax ID and mailing address for paper invoices), payment records, usage records (instances, configurations, running time and charges) and the SSH public keys you add. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, email and name; we do not receive your Google password.

Research credit applications also collect your institutional email, institution, lab details, a project summary and proof documents. Proof documents are deleted once the application is reviewed.

Sign-in uses an HttpOnly session cookie valid for 24 hours. We record IP addresses and failed sign-in attempts to prevent abuse. We email you for account verification, password resets, low balance and instances stopped for lack of balance.

Card and payment details are handled by the payment service provider; we do not store full card numbers. Data you place on rented machines is customer content governed by the Compute Terms of Service; we do not access it except as those terms allow.

Service providers and international transfer

We use service providers for website hosting and security (Cloudflare), email delivery (Resend), sign-in (Google, only if you choose it), payments (ECPay or NewebPay), e-invoicing and computing infrastructure (GPU suppliers, which receive the SSH public keys and configuration of the instances you launch). They process data on our behalf for these purposes and may do so outside Taiwan. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Our websites have no advertising trackers. Hosting providers record connection information such as IP address, time and requested path for security and operations.

Retention

Inquiry data is kept as long as needed to handle the inquiry and follow up. Account, billing and payment records are kept for the duration of the account and as long as tax and accounting laws require. Security logs follow the hosting provider's retention policy.

Your rights

Under Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act you may ask to access or review your data, receive a copy, supplement or correct it, stop its collection, processing or use, or delete it. Email [email protected]; we may need to verify your identity. Where law requires us to keep a record, we will tell you.

If you do not provide required details, we may be unable to reply to an inquiry or provide a paid service.

Security and changes

We use encrypted connections, access controls and least-privilege access to protect personal data. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you as the law requires. We will publish material changes to this policy on this page before they take effect.
